Welcome Reception
There will be a Welcome Reception on Monday, at 17h30 in Hotel Tivoli Sintra.
Tour of Sintra and Cabo da Roca
The afternoon of Wednesday is reserved for sightseeing. We have arranged for buses to pick up the conference participants and guests after lunch, at Hotel Tivoli Sintra, for a Tour of Sintra (Moorish Castle) and Cabo da Roca (the westernmost point in continental Europe).
Conference Dinner
The Conference Dinner will take place on Thursday evening at Seteais Palace, a former 18th century palace and now an elegant luxury hotel. Seteais Palace, an example of neoclassic architecture, was built in the late 18th century by the Dutch Consul Daniel Gildemeester. In 1800 the property was sold to the 5th Marquis of Marialva, Dom Diogo de Noronha, who added the east wing to the construction, later connecting both wings by a magnificent arch. In some rooms several paintings by Jean Pillement can be seen. The Palace is surrounded by beautiful gardens and hosts stunning views of Sintra and the ocean.
